On Wednesday, November 11, 2020 the Grandview R-II School District received a positive COVID-19 test result on a Middle School Staff Member.
This brings us to a total of 6 Grandview employees, five students and one outside agency staff member who have confirmed positive test results.
For each case the district has worked with Jefferson County Health Department to do a Contact Tracing Investigation. Any known Direct Contact (someone that has been within 6 feet of the individual for 15 or more minutes) has been informed. In addition, remember that the district is severely limited on the amount of information that can be shared.
Remember: Outside wifi is now available at the Fassen building (there are picnic tables) and at the football field for student use.
Due to a marked increase in and high number of high school teachers and staff under quarantine orders, the Grandview R-II High School will transition to 100% distance learning until after Thanksgiving break. This means that from today, Friday, November 6 through Monday, November 30, Grandview High School will not have classes on campus.

Eagle Nation:
On Tuesday, November 3, Grandview will, as usual, help fill a need in the community and serve as an election voting site. Due to the projected high voter turnout and the subsequent increased risk of potential viral exposure, we will not have classes on campus. We will instead be having an Alternative Method of Instruction day. The state of Missouri allows schools to have five days where Alternative Methods of Instruction (AMI) are utilized without having to make them up on the school calendar. On November 3, and all AMI days in the future, all students will be in attendance through our virtual program and will follow the educational plan set forth by their teachers to the fullest extent possible.
More information and responses to questions will be available through your individual building principals.
We are proud to share that our student health service Hazel is now available at $0 cost to families for all students through the 20-21 school year. To use this service, use the student health permission forms at my.hazel.co/grandviewr2.
Contact your school nurse for questions.
