Happy School Librarians Day!
Today we recognize and thank our amazing school librarians for everything they do. From helping students find just the right book to supporting research and fostering a love of reading, you play an important role in our schools every day.
Thank you for creating welcoming spaces where curiosity and learning thrive. We appreciate you!

After a thorough sweep of the high school by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department, it has been determined safe for students to return to class.
A big thank you to our SRO, Deputy Smogorzewski, and the responding officers for their quick and thorough response. We also commend the student who saw and reported the message to school administration, which promptly involved Officer Smoke.
It’s reassuring to see our policies and procedures working effectively, with swift action from law enforcement, to minimize the impact on student learning while prioritizing the safety of students and staff.
We are proud to be Eagle Nation.

This is an emergency message to the parents and guardians of Grandview High School students to hopefully lessen apprehension.
There was a handwritten threat written in a bathroom of the high school.
In order to make sure staff and students are completley safe everyone was relocated elsewhere on campus and we are on a lockdown at this point. As a result, only school personnel and emergency services will be allowed access until local law enforcement are finished with their safety sweep.
Any further information will be shared as soon as it is discovered.
Thank you for your understanding during this issue.

On April 1, the Grandview R-II High School band participated in the Missouri Small School Band Directors Association (MSSBDA) State Music Festival. The band earned an Exemplary rating, the highest of five possible ratings awarded by the judges. Congratulations to Mr. Bilin and our talented musicians on this outstanding achievement!

Due to incoming storms, Grandview R-II will release students and staff early at 2:40 PM today to ensure everyone gets home safely. Please plan accordingly. Stay safe!

All after school activites for today have been canceled.
Have a great day, and be safe.

Happy Paraprofessional Day!
Today, we celebrate and appreciate our incredible paraprofessionals who make a difference every day! Your dedication, hard work, and support help our students succeed, and we are so grateful for all that you do.
Thank you for being an essential part of our Eagle Nation family!

Weather Alert Reminder
With today's predicted weather, we want to remind Eagle Nation that if we need to take shelter during a storm, in order to ensure safety, students will not be released to the buses or to parents/guardians until the weather threat has passed.
Note: The high school track meet scheduled for today has been cancelled. Any other cancellations will be released as soon as we are notified.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation! Stay safe!

Due to scheduling conflicts, the Easter Egg Hunt that had been previously mentioned in both the District and Elementary newsletters, will not be taking place at this time. During PTO's next meeting, they will discuss a future event to make up for this cancellation. If any parents or guardians have ideas, the PTO would love to hear them.
