After a thorough sweep of the high school by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department, it has been determined safe for students to return to class. A big thank you to our SRO, Deputy Smogorzewski, and the responding officers for their quick and thorough response. We also commend the student who saw and reported the message to school administration, which promptly involved Officer Smoke. It’s reassuring to see our policies and procedures working effectively, with swift action from law enforcement, to minimize the impact on student learning while prioritizing the safety of students and staff. We are proud to be Eagle Nation.

This is an emergency message to the parents and guardians of Grandview High School students to hopefully lessen apprehension. There was a handwritten threat written in a bathroom of the high school. In order to make sure staff and students are completley safe everyone was relocated elsewhere on campus and we are on a lockdown at this point. As a result, only school personnel and emergency services will be allowed access until local law enforcement are finished with their safety sweep. Any further information will be shared as soon as it is discovered. Thank you for your understanding during this issue.

Due to scheduling conflicts, the Easter Egg Hunt that had been previously mentioned in both the District and Elementary newsletters, will not be taking place at this time. During PTO's next meeting, they will discuss a future event to make up for this cancellation. If any parents or guardians have ideas, the PTO would love to hear them.

A cartoon-style eagle dressed as a tech support professional sits at a desk in an office. The eagle wears glasses, a headset, and a white shirt with a red and blue striped tie. Its wings resemble arms with feathers forming fingers as it types on a keyboard. Behind the eagle is a large screen displaying colorful programming code, and another eagle with a serious expression is illustrated in the background. On the desk, there are two computer monitors, one showing the word "EAGLE" with a wing graphic. There is also a coffee mug with a circular logo, a smartphone, and various office supplies. To the right, wall icons display eagle-themed logos. The scene has a colorful and dynamic comic-style aesthetic.
