We are currently on a district lockdown. An armed man was seen walking about a mile from school. This is only a precautionary measure at this time. Police have been informed. Students are still moving throughout the building and teachers are instructing as usual. We will keep you updated with any changes.

Please review the plan and if you have any comments or suggestions for administration, email them to vanhoutenj@grandviewr2.org with a subject title of “ESSR III COMMENT”. A quick reminder
The fire department was called today to address an issue with smoke in a high school classroom. The source turned out to be a wiring issue in an air conditioning unit. There were no injuries reported. The students and staff are commended on their actions during the situation.
The Middle School track meet scheduled for today, Wednesday, April 7, has been cancelled due to impending weather.
Here is a message from Mr. Zoph about an event at Grandview tomorrow, April 1.
Tomorrow April 1st, (this is not an April Fools Joke) the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department SWAT team and the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department Student Resource Officers from across the county will be on the Grandview campus from 3:30pm till approximately 7:30pm doing Active Shooter Training. Many school personnel will be participating in the training along with the Sheriff’s Department Officers. I’m sending this out so everyone can remain calm when they see the campus full of police cars and officers doing mock trainings all over the campus. There is NO EMERGENCY and the Grandview campus will probably be the safest place in Jefferson County for around 4 hours.
Again this is just to let the community know there will be a Jefferson County Sheriffs department Active Shooter Training on campus tomorrow!
