REMEMBER: We do have a five day week this week with school on Monday.

We had 8 girls attend our color guard clinics this week. We are announcing who will be on the team for the 2024 season on Monday.

Remember that in addition to this being the last week of student attendance for the 2023-2024 school year it is also a full 5 day week. We will have on-campus classes this Monday, May 6.

I was out and about in Hillsboro the other day and stopped by the new LaLa's Roast and Bistro. Turns out "LaLa" is Grandview alum Leigha Gaston, nee Kaiser.
Stop by for some great food and drinks while supporting a local small business AND showing some love to Eagle Nation.

Sunday afternoon the high school inducted its new National Honor Society members. Congratulations to the inductees for their hard work and to their parents/guardians for instilling them with pride and a drive to achieve.

Ellie, second row on the right, was honored by the Twin Cities Optimist Club as a, "Person Of Good Character Trying To Be Her Best At All Times".
Awesome job Ellie and congratulations to a great young lady.

Thank you bus drivers for the dedication and patience you show every day. It would be a long walk to school without you.

Big thank you to Shane Wilson and Wilson Farms for donating a pair of bottle heifer calves to the Grandview FFA. They have been dubbed Polly and Molly.

Recently kindergarten had a "Glow Day"

Travis Hoskins has been selected as the 2024 Jefferson College/ATS AWS Most Outstanding Welder.
Here are the kind words from his instructor:
Congratulations, your hard work and dedication to learning the art of welder has earned you the 2024 Jefferson College / ATS program AWS Most Outstanding Welder of the Year! Hard work pays off, and you are being recognized for that and your genuine enthusiasm when interacting with your fellow classmates. It's one thing to be a good welder, your soft skills will take you places you never dreamed. Keep working hard on both and the sky's the limit to your future! I have attached the flyer for the ceremony. Family and friends are welcome to attend. Please let me know if you will be able to make it and if so, how many people will be attending.

Come join us on Friday, April 12, for our second Pastries with Parents monthly meeting at the Fassen Building at 7:30 AM. This month's topic is MAP and EOC Testing. We will outline when the various tests will take place and what each building does to help our students prepare for testing. Also, topics include things that you can do at home to help your child be ready for test day.
The Elementary will have its first week of MAP testing that week. The Middle School and the majority of the High School testing will begin the following week.
Hope to see you there.
