It's School Counselor Appreciation Week! Let's hear it for our counseling staff.

Here is what's happening in Eagle Nation.

Kindergartners recently learned about pushes, pulls, and force. They played golf to help learn about pushes and pulls. They applied force to push the ball through our tunnels into the hole. They also used teamwork and collaboration to help build their golf course using books.

​Ms. Anderson was honored with the Outstanding Music Educator Award by the Missouri Music Educators Association. Congratulations to Ms. Anderson!

Congratulations to The V.I.E.W. Award recipients for the month of December! Support Staff of the Month: Rhonda Engler (Lead Bus Driver) Elementary Teacher of the Month: Stacey Block (Preschool) Middle School Teacher of the Month: Mandi Snyder (5th Grade) High School Teacher of the Month: Jeff Ketcherside (Industrial Arts/Agriculture) Additional nominees for Support Staff were: Kristina Fox, Mylene Huskey, Kayla Villmer, and Shelia Zielinski. Additional nominees for Elementary Teacher were: Katie Dodson, and Melissa Lawrence. Ann Dugan was also nominated for Middle School Teacher. High School Teacher nominees also included: Micah Schultz, Kristi Smith Join us in congratulating all of our winners and nominees. As someone said to me the other day, “We have lots of good people working here.”

Congratulations to Malia Nahlik for being recognized for sportsmanship from M.S.H.S.A.A.officials.

Saucy's in Hillsboro will be donating 10% of all sales, dine-in, carry-out, or delivery, on January 30, to a Grandview family who experienced a house fire over the holiday season. A huge thank you to Saucy's for consistently supporting their community, including Eagle Nation.

Thanks to everyone who supported the Elementary Book Fair. Because of you, we brought in $7,848.40 in gross sales. The library gets to keep $3,755.49 in Scholastic dollars for Mrs. Huskey to spend on books for Eagle Nation.

Good news Eagle Nation! Grandview will have on campus classes Tuesday, January 23.

There will be no ATS tomorrow, Tuesday, January 23. Jeffco is having a teacher inservice.
