Unfortunately we have to inform all of the loss of another long term former member of Eagle Nation.
Dr. H. Michael Brown, former Superintendent of Schools, has passed away. His "country charm", dedication to Grandview and his love of education helped many students and staff members over his time here.
A celebration of life has been scheduled:
Saturday, June 7th
6:00–8:00 PM
220 Fair Oaks Drive, Oakland, TN 38060
He will be missed

Campus Update – Resurfacing Work Begins Today (May 22, 2025)!
Starting today, resurfacing of campus driving and parking areas is underway and will continue for about a month. This is part of the Project Safe Eagles improvements funded by the April 2023 bond issue.
Please note: This work may impact multiple summer activities, including—but not limited to—youth baseball/softball, Grandview summer camps, and district sports workouts.
We ask everyone to use caution and avoid marked construction areas.
Thank you for your continued support!

FBLA recently attended the Missouri State Competition in Springfield. The first evening began with students already being recognized:
Khloe Declue, Caitlyn Cortner, and Maram Almajedi were recognized for their BAA’s on the big screen at the Great Southern Bank Arena. Grandview R-II was also recognized for restarting our charter which has not been active at the state or district level for many years. We ended the first evening with our very own Maram Almajedi walking across the stage in front of thousands recognizing her accomplishment of completing 3 BAA’s. This is a huge accomplishment that many members do not achieve. She was one of just over 15 students in the state.
Attending leadership, skills, career breakouts were the next day’s activities. The students committed to a competition against all the schools in the state which included trivia, challenges throughout the conference, and insightful essays of business-oriented questions. The students continued to reach out and network which resulted in 2nd place in the state against huge schools! This was not an easy task. They had the privilege of touring Missouri State University and had access to over 300 colleges and employers across the state!
Lastly, we came home with many accomplishments including:
Jackson Clifford - 14th in the state with digital career portfolio and top 100 in state in Public Policy & Advocacy
Teddy Barrett and Caitlyn Cortner - 10th in state in Digital Animation
Hailee Hawn - 12th in state in Insurance and Risk Management and top 50 in state in journalism
Khloe Declue - top 100 in state in Introduction to Parliamentary Procedure
Kayleigh Kitchener - top 100 in state in Introduction to Business Procedures
Teddy Barrett - 17th in state for Introduction to Business Concepts
Mrs. Pemberton added “For these students to come from this new concept of competing for FBLA events with the limited technology and class availability in the subject manner really walked away with something to truly be proud of. They are amazing leaders, and I am so excited to hear them say they had fun. They are already talking about next year! I have been doing this for a long time, and they were the most well-behaved students I have ever taken on a trip. I have taken large and small groups all over the United States and these students are one of the best groups that I am proud to have the opportunity to be a part of. They wanted to be there! Thank you for supporting them on this trip.”
